MEET THE NURTURED TEAM

McKenzie Ramirez Harris, RDN, LDN, CEDS

Owner, Registered Dietitian, & Certified Eating Disorder Specialist

Specialties:

Eating Disorders, Sports Nutrition, Family Education, General Wellness, Substance Abuse Nutrition, Emotional Eating, Unhealthy Relationships with Food and Exercise, Intuitive Eating, & More

McKenzie believes in a ‘Health at Every Size’ approach. She considers herself an “anti-diet” dietitian, so if you’re fed up with diets, she’s your girl! Her approach stems from the philosophy that “all foods fit”- meaning that all foods fit in balance, variety, and moderation.

McKenzie has experience with clients ranging from adolescent to adult, including families, wanting to improve their relationship with food and their bodies. She aims to create a safe place for people of any body shape, size, ethnic identity, and sexual identity. A graduate of the best university in the world, Texas A&M University, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics. She also completed a clinical dietetic internship through Texas A&M (meaning that she bleeds maroon - WHOOP!)

McKenzie’s mission as a clinician is to provide professional, warm, compassionate individualized nutrition therapy to help her clients rebuild and nurture a healthy relationship with food.

McKenzie is a born and raised Texan and an Enneagram Type 2 with a 3 wing. When not working, McKenzie spends time with her loved ones, walking Millie (hopefully future therapy dog for the Nurtured office), enjoying joyful movement, and hopefully eating her way around the world.

McKenzie is excited to get to know you and how we can bring joy back to food!

Helen Mary Katool RD,LD, MS

Registered Dietitian & Certified Eating Disorder Specialist

I’m passionate about guiding individuals toward a healthier, more fulfilling relationship with food and their bodies.

My approach is deeply rooted in the principles of Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size (HAES), patient-centered care, and a holistic perspective on wellness.

In my practice, I embrace a compassionate, non-diet philosophy that celebrates the uniqueness of each person’s journey. I believe that true health is more than just a number on the scale—it’s about nurturing a balanced, joyful, and respectful relationship with food and your body.

I’m here to help you move beyond restrictive dieting and cultivate a more nourishing, sustainable approach to well-being.

I believe food has a remarkable power to bring us together, deepen relationships, and nourish our lives in countless ways. I’m dedicated to helping you heal your relationship with food so that it becomes a source of joy and connection rather than stress and confusion.

My comprehensive approach is designed to support you in finding peace with your eating habits and embracing a lifestyle that honors your whole self.

I completed my dietetic internship and earned a Master of Science in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, following a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mississippi. My experience includes working with adolescents and their families in residential treatment for eating disorders, as well as supporting adults of all ages during my graduate program.

I have worked with a range of eating disorders, including ARFID, anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating. Whether you have a formal diagnosis or simply wish to improve your relationship with food, I am here to help!

Our Approach

Every decision we make is guided by a clear purpose: helping people build a healthier relationship with food, their bodies, and their overall well-being. We understand that seeking nutrition support can feel vulnerable, and we believe everyone deserves a care team that leads with empathy, respect, and genuine connection.

Our approach is person-centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based nutrition. We take the time to understand each individual's unique experiences, goals, and challenges, creating a supportive environment where meaningful, lasting change can happen. We combine compassionate guidance with thoughtful accountability, meeting clients where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to providing personalized care that honors the whole person—not just their nutrition concerns. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a trusted part of each client's journey and to support them every step of the way.

Us in a nutshell.

Every decision we make is rooted in purpose. We believe nutrition care should be compassionate, personalized, and centered on the individual. As a team, we're committed to creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make lasting changes. By combining evidence-based nutrition with genuine human connection, we help people navigate their health journey with confidence and support.
